Charlotte, N.C. – Hundreds of supporters will join the Anthony Foxx for Mayor campaign and the North Carolina Democratic Party for a joint rally this Saturday. It will take place at Hilton University Place at 8629 J.M. Keynes Drive. The rally is free, the public is encouraged to attend, and doors open at 4:30 p.m.
“There is great enthusiasm and excitement going into this event,” said Bruce Clark, campaign manager for the Anthony Foxx for Mayor campaign. “We are confident that the energy from tomorrow will carry through the next 67 days to victory on Election Day.”
The rally will bring hundreds of volunteers together to support Anthony Foxx for mayor. Campaign organizers expect the biggest turnout for a mayoral rally that Charlotte has seen in recent years. Attendees will hear inspiring words from former N.C. Governor Jim Hunt, North Carolina State Party Chairman David Young and Democratic Mayoral Candidate Anthony Foxx.
Local and state organizers have sent more than 40,000 e-mails and made more than 10,000 phone calls to Charlotte residents inviting them to the event. Also, social media invitations have been sent to thousands through Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
